45 DRIVE: The weekly 45 card drive in aid of the Ballybrown Community Resource Centre continues each Thursday night at 8.45pm and your support would be greatly appreciated and don’t forget to bring along a friend or neighbour. The winners for Thursday October 27 were as follows : 1st prize €100 Barney O’Brien with Billy Austin on 9 games. 2nd prize €60 Eugene Quinn with Gerry Moray on 8 games. Table prize . 21 DAY COMMUNITY WALKING CHALLENGE HAS FINISHED BUT WE’RE STILL WALKING!!

There will be a walk from the Centre every Wednesday evening at 7pm. All welcome. We will be back in time for Set Dancing !
We have received some Hi Vis vests from the RSA which will be distributed to walkers on a first come basis.

21 DAY COMMUNITY WALKING CHALLENGE FINISHED ON A HIGH

21 DAY COMMUNITY WALKING CHALLENGE FINISHED ON A HIGH: Last Sunday the sun shone brightly as two groups of walkers set off on the final walk of the challenge. One group took the usual Clarina loop while the other headed off to do a loop of Newtown and the Sailors Haggard. Following the walk there were refreshments and a raffle. The painting donated by local artist Jim O’Farrell was won by Gerry Moran while many more left with spotprizes. Well done to everyone who participated and thanks to all who supported the event. While the Challenge is now over the walking won’t stop. There will be a walk from the centre every Wednesday evening at 7pm. All welcome. We guarantee a great night out for just €5 and please bring a friend. The prizes for Thursday September 29 were as follows: 1st Prize, €100 went to Jimmy McNamara and Joe Purcell with 8 games while 2nd prize, €60, was divided by Anthony McGann,  Micheal O’Keeffe, Peggy Cusack and Teresa Neville with 7 games. The table prize went to Sean Behan and Owen O’Sullivan. SET DANCING

SET DANCING: There will be no set dancing next Wednesday September 28th. It will return on Wednesday October 5th. Cost is €5 and newcomers are especially welcome.
