MALIN TO MIZEN CYCLE: Delighted to report that Corcamore lads Peter Kiely and David Fitzgerald completed their three day cycle from Malin Head to Mizen Head on target. Covering over 650km in three days was a great achievement and all done for a great cause, the Live95fm Stop Tour in aid of Cari and the Children’s Ark including the Neonatal Unit. So far they have raised over €2,400. Well done to David, Peter, their families and supporters.

HISTORIC WALK

HISTORIC WALK: Limerick Historical Society will hold its next evening walk on Wednesday August 10. The historic walk will commence at Barrington’s Hospital, George’s Quay at 7 p.m. The hospital was built in 1830 by the Barrington family of Glenstal, Murroe, at a cost of €10,000. Initially, there will be a talk on the Barringtons and the houses associated with the family. From there we will proceed down Mary Street to take in some sights along the way and we will finish with a guided tour of the North Munster Masonic Centre on Castle Street. Everybody is welcome and there is no charge.
