BALLYBROWN/CLARINA COMMUNITY GAMES

ATHLETICS TRACK & FIELD SPORTS EVENING: We had a brilliant night last Tuesday May12 for our sports evening. The sun shone on us, we had over 120 children turn up on the night. The smiles on their faces running down the field was just priceless. For some it was their first time taking part in an organised event and many received their first medals. We would like to thank all those that turned up on the night, also Breska Rovers Soccer Club for the use of the field. A full list of the results are on display in the Resource Centre.

ROUNDERS – BOYS & GIRLS U13: Training is taking place on Mondays after school and Saturday at 3pm in Breska Rovers Soccer Field.

SKITTLES – U12, U14 & U16’S: Training is up and running for our skittles teams. First round games are coming within the next 2 weeks.  If you are interested please check with Michael O’Brien.

GAELIC FOOTBALL: Our mixed U10 football team played their first round of games on Wednesday and qualified to round 2 which will be held this coming week. We wish them the best of luck

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: Twenty three pupils from Second Class in Ballybrown National School celebrated their First Holy Communion on Saturday May 16. The mass was concelebrated by Fr Michael Cussen and Mons. Michael Lane. A word of thanks to their teacher Ms. Beena Day, the school staff and parents who helped with the preparations for the big day, the choir and altar servers and of course not forgetting the children themselves who were a credit to their families and school. Refreshments were served in the Community Resource Centre afterwards and enjoyed by everyone.
