Senior Citizens Card Drive

A card drive was held in the Ballybrown Community Resource Centre on Sunday last April 12th at 3pm. A nice crowd turned out to support the drive in aid of the Senior Citizens Christmas Party. The following were the prize winners. First prize of €80 went to Pat Keogh and Dan McDaid with 10 games, second prize of €40 was divided between Margaret Queally with Timmy Toomey and Michael O’Brien with Damien O’Brien on 7 games. Table prizes went to Dan McDaid, Pat Keogh, Jim Enright and Liam Brown. The raffle prizes as follows : 1/ Gerry Moran, 2/ Eithne Ryan, 3/ Fr. Michael Cussen PP, 4/ Damien O’Brien, 5/ Pat Mulqueen 6/ Margaret O’Brien, 7/ Ger Mullane, 8/ Malachy Csack, 9/ Anna Roberts, 10/ Fr. Ml. Cussen PP. and 11/ Noreen Cusack. The Ballybrown Senior Citizens Committee would like to thank everyone who turned up to play on a fine Sunday afternoon. They would also extend a big thank you to all the people who gave spot prizes for the raffle. The committee will be holding another 45 Drive later on in the year and your support would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to Margaret Davoren who looked after the catering. Thanks to Joe Purcell, Peter O’Sullivan and Willie Ryan who organised the drive. Finally a big thank you to all concerned and who helped out in an way to ensure that this was a successful fundraiser.
