45 DRIVE : The weekly 45 card drive in aid of the Ballybrown Community  Resource Centre continues each Thursday night at 8.45pm and your support would be greatly appreciated. The winners for Thursday February 11 were as follows. The prize money of €150 was shared by Pat Keogh with Danny McDaid, Sean King with Brian Barrett and Gerry Moran with Ann Davoren who each had nine games. The table prize went to Pat Keogh and Danny McDaid.
Raffle prizes were as follows: 1st €30, Danny McDaid, 2nd €20, Margaret O’Brien, 3rd €20, Anna Roberts, 4th €10, Mike Mann, 5th €10, Helen Kennedy 6th €10, Kathleen Keyes.
Don’t forget the 45 drive in aid of the Senior Citizens Party which will be held on Sunday February 21 at 3pm, with fabulous prizes. See you all on Thursday February 18 and please bring a friend.

The table prize went to Ann O’Brien and Marie Cregan. Raffle winners were : 1/ €30, Paddy McCarthy, 2/ €20, John O’Brien, 3/ €20, Willie Gorman, 4/ €10, Evelyn O’Brien, 5/ €10, Ann O’Brien 6/ €10, Gerry Moran.

CALCUTTA CALLING

CALCUTTA CALLING: The weekly slim and weigh in, in aid of Fr. Pat Hogan’s Calcutta Fund takes place each Friday night at the Resource Centre from 7.30 to 8pm. This is a great local opportunity to begin 2016 and lose a few pounds and in so doing help a very worthy cause. Fr. Pat and his group are at present out in Calcutta working with the poor on the streets and all monies collected go in total to the Calcutta Fund. The weight out takes place on Good Friday. We are still looking for volunteers to get involved in this project so please come long on Friday night your support would be greatly appreciated. Phil Ryan will be on hand at the weighing scales to record everyone’s progress. It is also hoped that we will organise a few walks locally over the next eight weeks in aid of the fund. This ” Operation More or Less” project is open to all, the more the healthier. Thank you and looking forward to seeing you on Friday night and for the next 8 Friday nights. We will have a special prize of a ” Giant Easter Egg” for the biggest loser. Come on and have a bit of fun and in the process lose a few pounds or is it a few Euros.

We are expecting a big turnout next Thursday December 17 for our Christmas 45 Drive. There will be loads of prizes so please come along and we guarantee a great night out for just €5, and of course bring a friend. If you don’t have a partner don’t worry we will sort you out on the night. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our supporters. We will be taking a break after the 17th for the Christmas Holidays and the 45 drive will resume in 2016 on January 7 at 8.45.
